Gordon joined CMA in February 2011. His experience includes due diligence and strategy projects for a variety of investors, operators, and government agencies. Prior to joining CMA, Gordon was an analyst at Infinata, a market research firm. While at Infinata, Gordon was responsible for data analytics, business and marketing strategy development, and financial analysis. Gordon holds a B.S. with concentrations in Finance, Economics, and Corporate Reporting & Analysis from The Carroll School of Management Honors Program at Boston College.
Alex is an analytics-driven consultant with nearly a decade of experience providing insights to Fortune 500 companies and private equity investors in a variety of industries ranging from telecommunications to utilities. Within telecommunications, he has worked with both wireline and wireless operators, and has significant experience in the technological infrastructures relating to data centers, wireless towers, backhaul, and fiber networks. Prior to joining CMA, Alex was a consultant with Altman Vilandrie, an 80 person TMT strategy firm based in Boston where he focused on network deployment optimizations, product roadmap and go-to-market strategies, and due diligence on billions of dollars’ worth of private equity transactions. He has also served in a variety of analytical roles at The Brattle Group, an economic consulting firm, where he developed financial econometric models and drafted expert testimony on behalf of Utilities and Telecommunications clients around the world. Alex holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied Finance and International Business.
Michael joined CMA in 2012 and has since worked on a variety of diligence and operational projects. He has proven experience in market research, competitive benchmarking and analysis, demand and supply modeling, customer analysis and segmentation, and financial forecasting. He has conducted several full strategic diligences for private equity and hedge fund clients seeking to invest in or purchase companies in the Cable, Fiber, IT Services, and Telecommunications segments of the TMT industry. Prior to joining CMA, Michael interned at the MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo.), MIT’s internal organization tasked with managing over $10B in endowment and pension funds. At MITIMCo., Michael assisted with the sourcing, evaluation, and selection of hedge fund and asset managers for portfolio investments and management. Michael is a graduate of Brown University with a Bachelors of Science in Applied Mathematics and Economics.
Ash has over 4 years of experience assisting senior executives and investors with investment due diligence, corporate strategy, financial modeling, operational improvements, and product development. He was the first employee at CMA Strategy Consulting and has conducted over 200 projects with the firm, including financial and strategic due diligence assignments on over $30B of transactions and go-to-market and product roadmap engagements generating over $3B in additional revenue for his clients. Prior to joining CMA in 2007, Ash ran the Cambridge Public Internet project – Cambridge’s muniwireless and digital inclusion project – and consulted to other municipalities on municipal broadband issues. Ash also served as an analyst for the Federal Government, covering defense and aerospace issues, where his reports were read by senior White House, Congressional, and military officials. Ash holds an executive MBA from Babson College, where he graduated Cum Laude while working fulltime at CMA, and a degree in Aerospace Engineering from MIT.
Eric is an experienced, analytical strategy consultant with deep business and technical expertise. He has consulted on due diligence, go-to-market strategy, and M&A strategy across the telecom, media, and technology industry including tower and DNS operators, data center and edge infrastructure providers, enterprise fiber providers, and outside plant and wireless contractors. Prior to joining CMA, Eric was a founding member of ComlinkData; a provider of real-time data on buying behaviors of telecom customers in the U.S. and Canada, where he helped develop the company’s initial product suite and refine the core systems collecting and analyzing telecom network data to identify buying patterns and assess their impact on major telecom providers. Eric holds a BSc in Economics from Northeastern University.
